What is Popbookings? I'm experiencing technical issues or have questions.

Popbookings is an applicant tracking system, and it is not a product of Sid Simone, Inc. Popbookings is not the hiring agency, Sid Simone, Inc is your casting agency.

How can I see and apply to jobs?

All applications will not be accepted. Your application, which is your profile, must be Active in OUR database to see and apply to our jobs. Every agency is separate. So, you may have an active Popbookings profile, just not with us.

When jobs are available to you, in your territory, you will see them.

Sending messages or calling to ask if jobs are in your area, will not get you hired; it may actually eliminate you from our database.

How do I obtain an Active profile?

You must upload a government-issued ID, a W9 from an Individual, a resume and professional photos.

Applications without photos, fake or inappropriate photos; without a location and accurate information are automatically suspended.

You will not receive an alert if your profile is Active, Inactive or Suspended.

Why is my profile Inactive or my application was denied?

Reasons for application declination: 

• you did not submit all of the required documentation 
• you struggle following instructions or using technology
• you are suspended in our database
• misconduct toward the Company, owner, online or in the field
• you have a no-call, no-show or poor client feedback at any point since 2012
• your talent does not fit our current criteria

How am I alerted of jobs?

You must have an active profile with us and enable text and email notifications in your profile to receive messages. Download the Popbookings app.

What do I need to execute Alcohol and Food events?

A state-issued, alcohol certification is required to execute any alcohol demonstrations. You can acquire this online or in person. Search your state’s requirements with the Alcohol and Beverage Commission. This certification may be called TIPS, TABC, Alcohol

A Serv Safe certification is required to execute any food demonstrations. You can acquire this online or in person. Search your state’s requirements.

I have not been paid or reimbursed. Why?

Are you a Recruit or actually in the Sid Simone database?

For Recruit Candidates: refer to Popbooking's payment schedule. You are not paid via Sid Simone, Inc.

For Database Candidates: refer to your accepted digital agreement in your profile that states the payment calendar.

Reasons you may not have been paid:

• it is not your payment date yet
• you did not submit the required report, that is due THE DAY of your shift
• you did not submit the receipt as proof of execution
• your recap is missing photos, as proof of execution
• you did not accept the digital payment, within the payment interval

I've applied to multiple jobs, but don't get selected. Why?

Select markets and jobs are more competitive than others- remember, you are not the only person applying. Also, its possible, you haven't sold yourself in your profile. If your profile is missing characteristics, has unflattering/old photos, photos that do not reflect your experience for the job, you do not have your certifications uploaded, and you have not detailed your experience in your resume or selected your areas of expertise.
